A brass-based walnut plaque conferring the title of Vice President of Reply-All. The title is unofficial. It is, however, earned — through consistent, undiscouraged, and institutionally tolerated use of the Reply All function in situations where it was not necessary and sometimes counterproductive.
Per my last email, which went to everyone: this plaque does not represent a formal promotion. It represents a formal acknowledgment of a pattern of behavior that HR has been unable to address through conventional channels.
Going forward, this plaque belongs on a desk and not in a drawer. The behavior it honors has been too visible to hide.
