A brass medal on a gray ribbon, stamped with the phrase PERSON WHO DID NOT COMPLAIN. The back of the medal is blank. The ribbon is 14 inches. The medal can be worn or displayed. It does not specify the period during which the recipient did not complain, because that period is ongoing and we did not want to jinx it.
As discussed in the recognition framework meeting: not complaining is a form of workplace contribution that has historically been undervalued. This medal addresses that gap formally. It is heavy enough to feel real.
Circling back: the medal is awarded at management's discretion. In practice, it can be self-awarded. The brass doesn't know the difference.
