A five-ball Newton's cradle constructed to standard specifications, with one modification: the return mechanism has been dampened so that each ball, once displaced, swings forward and then rests. The balls do not swing back. Momentum is not conserved. This is intentional and is, we believe, a more accurate physical model of most workplace decisions.
As discussed: a standard Newton's cradle implies that actions have equal and opposite consequences. This version implies that they have consequences, and that the consequences accumulate in one direction. We consider this a product improvement.
Going forward, the cradle arrives on a polished chrome stand. The balls are stainless steel. The stand can be kept. The momentum cannot.
