A hand-stitched embroidery sampler in the traditional style: decorative border, centered text, alphabet strip at the bottom. The words are FAMILY. FAITH. FIRMLY MIDDLE CLASS. The stitching is done in navy and burgundy on cream Aida cloth. The frame is simple wood, unstained.

It captures something that the original three-word samplers circled around but never quite said — the profound comfort of having enough, and the specific weight of knowing that enough is what you have.

Each sampler is hand-stitched and carries minor variations. Ships flat in a rigid mailer. Fits a standard 8-by-10-inch frame, which is not included but which you almost certainly already own.
